Revelation on a Mountain, Michael Chun

I was raised in a Christian family but in my middle twenties I got fed up with church meetings and lost sight of who I really was. I was saved when I was young but had no purpose and satisfaction in my Christian life. In college, I met a Christian brother on campus and started to have regular contact with him. He eventually brought me to a mountain retreat for college students. While listening to a message there, some verses in the book of Revelation impressed me. “He who has an ear let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches” (Revelation 2:7). The light shone out through this verse and my veils about what the church is were taken away. The church is not a physical building because the Spirit is speaking to the churches. If the church is a physical building, how could it hear the Spirit? The church must be something living. There are many more verses regarding the church as the Body of Christ and bride of Christ. This was a big revelation to me. All believers have the same Father God and believe in the same Christ. From that time, I began to really enjoy Christ in the church meetings with the other believers.

The Ministry Books

Not long after I started meeting with the local church, a Christian brother recommended to me to read a book by Witness Lee. There were so many books to choose from but eventually I started with the Life-study of Genesis. As I began to flip through the pages of the first chapter, I found I could not stop reading. Every sentence was full of life and enlivened me to the uttermost. I began to see how Christ is revealed in Genesis and how I could experience Him in my daily living. I had never imagined that Christ could be seen in the book of Genesis. However, these messages on Genesis opened my eyes to see who Christ is, what He has done for us, and how important the book of Genesis is in our experience of Christ.

Due to reading the works of Witness Lee, I can testify also that I love the lord Jesus even more than ever before.
